HYUNDAI TRANSYS, a leader in future mobility, has reaffirmed its world-class seat quality and competitiveness.
According to the “2025 U.S. Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study” released in August by global market research firm J.D. Power, HYUNDAI TRANSYS secured the top spot in the Midsize/Large Car Seat category among mass-market brands for its seat for the Hyundai Sonata .
This achievement follows last year’s No. 1 ranking in the Small/Compact Car Seat category, marking two consecutive years of top seat rankings for sedans.
HYUNDAI TRANSYS also performed strongly in the SUV seat evaluations for mass-market brands. The Kia Sportage ranked second in the Small/Compact SUV Seat category, while the Kia Sorento ranked third in the Midsize/Large SUV Seat category.
The J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study measures the number of problems per 100 vehicles (PP100) reported by U.S. customers who have owned a 2025 model vehicle for more than 90 days. The lower the score, the fewer the complaints, indicating higher satisfaction with seat quality. The study surveyed a total of 92,694 respondents from June 2024 to May 2025.
Since its integration in 2019 and first evaluation in 2020, HYUNDAI TRANSYS has consistently ranked in the top three of the J.D. Power Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study, making it the only Korean company to remain in the top three every year through 2025.
In 2020, it placed second and third in the Small/Compact Car Seat category among mass-market brands for the Hyundai Accent and Kia Forte , respectively. In 2021, it ranked third in the Premium Brand category with the Genesis G90 .
In 2022, the Kia Forte ranked second in the Small/Compact Car Seat category, the Kia Soul second in the Small/Compact SUV Seat category, and the Kia Sorento third in the Midsize/Large SUV Seat category. In 2023, the Kia Rio and Kia Sorento each earned second place in their respective categories—Small/Compact Car and Midsize/Large SUV Seat. In 2024, the Kia Forte secured the company’s first top ranking in the Small/Compact Car Seat category.
