HYUNDAI TRANSYS IVT provides a pleasant driving experience with smooth speed change, prompt acceleration and diverse speed modes regarding the driver’s intention and road conditions for dynamic driving. It improved optimal delivery efficiency, durability and NVH performance with the first application of a metal chain in the same segment.
The IVT structure has been changed from rubber V belt type to metal type. Metal V-belt type IVT with chain belt, which has been mass-produced since 2010, is excellent at delivery efficiency, but weak at NVH due to a different operation mechanism. There is a limitation on applying this type to large size SUV because customers of SUV are not sensitive to NVH. For the first time in the world, HYUNDAI TRANSYS installed the IVT in medium-size vehicles (28kgf.m) and improved efficiency and NVH performance. Drivers can experience cost-effectiveness and a powerful driving force.
