Based on various external factors such as road conditions and accurate location information of the vehicle, it connects the user with information after accounting for various user characteristics
The functions related to connectivity is closely related to the customer's personal information. As collecting a variety of personal information is inevitable, it is necessary to be sensitive to cybersecurity issues. Our top priority is to ensure that all functions connected to personal information are comprehensively reviewed and protected in a safe manner before mass production.
When telematics, a communication infrastructure, is applied to roads, signals will be able to sustain its continuity. The importance of connectivity technology will increase even more in the commercial vehicle sector. The overall paradigm shift in the logistics industry is driven by technological advances in self-driving and truck platooning of large trucks. HYUNDAI TRANSYS is currently developing transmissions for commercial trucks and hydrogen trucks, as well as the shift control technology for autonomous driving and truck platooning.
In truck platooning, when the front truck starts driving, the following trucks follow the driving style of the leading vehicle. Trucks lined on the same path will be connected to each other and the cars behind the first leading truck receive real-time information of the leading truck. For example, if an obstacle or a person suddenly appears on the road, the lead vehicle will step on the brake. All the following trucks will perform the same function while maintaining the proper distance in between.
It eliminates all imperfections in safety since it will react faster than how a driver would react to unexpected variables. It becomes possible to transport more loads with minimum manpower within the limited amount of time. The logistics industry will be stabilized overall thanks to a significant reduction in transportation costs due to the shortened period of transportation of a larger volume of goods.
