Under the leadership of the Environmental Disaster Prevention Team, we conduct wastewater spill response training twice a year for employees and partner company staff. Through direct participation in the training, employees are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the procedures and methods for responding to environmental accidents, ensuring that everyone is capable of taking initial actions in the event of an accident.
-
We conduct inspections at least once a year on vulnerable facilities that have a history of environmental spill accidents or are likely to experience such incidents. In particular, we focus on preventing accidents by carrying out pre-inspections of aging facilities and checking whether they are functioning properly, such as external leaks of cutting wastewater that could potentially affect nearby villages.
-
We have installed CCTV systems at key environmental facilities such as waste storage areas, drainage systems, and hazardous material storage sites, establishing a monitoring system to promptly identify environmental issues occurring within the factory. Additionally, we maintain a cooperative relationship with dredging specialist companies to ensure immediate response to any identified issues, and have developed a process for initial containment

At the Jigok plant in Korea, the wastewater generated within the factory is categorized into different types: processed wastewater, heat treatment wastewater, material wastewater, and cutting wastewater. These are directed through pipelines to the wastewater treatment facility. Afterward, the wastewater undergoes advanced filtration processes at the treatment facility and is reused as industrial water in a zero-discharge, full-recycling system.
