The next-generation hybrid drive system, TMED-II, is a mass-produced product applied to Hyundai and Kia's mid-to-large HEV/PHEV SUVs. Independently developed by HYUNDAI TRANSYS, it features the innovative e²AT hybrid drive system. With superior integration capabilities, it enhances torque and power performance compared to the previous TMED-I system, contributing to improved vehicle performance and fuel efficiency.

HYUNDAI TRANSYS' hybrid automatic transmission is a product that applies high-efficiency motors and engine clutch components based on the structure of traditional internal combustion engine automatic transmissions. By replacing the torque converter of conventional automatic transmissions with a hybrid engine clutch and torsion damper, it significantly improves fuel efficiency and shift quality. The system enables driving in EV mode/HEV mode through the drive motor, offering outstanding fuel efficiency.
