HYUNDAI TRANSYS Publishes 2025 Sustainability Report

HYUNDAI TRANSYS, a leading company in future mobility, has published its “2025 Sustainability Report,” which outlines its sustainability strategy and key achievements.

Since 2020, HYUNDAI TRANSYS has annually issued sustainability reports to transparently disclose its performance and future targets in the areas of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) to stakeholders.

The 2025 HYUNDAI TRANSYS Sustainability Report consists of three sections: Sustainability Strategy, Sustainability Performance, and ESG Data.

In the Sustainability Strategy section, nine critical issues affecting the business, such as climate change response and energy management, strengthening new growth engines and driving technological innovation, and managing ESG across the supply chain, were selected through a double materiality assessment. HYUNDAI TRANSYS presented its current responses and strategies for each. By managing these material issues in alignment with its product strategies, HYUNDAI TRANSYS aims to realize environmental and social values.

Next, the Sustainability Performance section provides detailed information on HYUNDAI TRANSYS’s financial and nonfinancial achievements by ESG category. For the first time, the report discloses performance results in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), including the “financial impact management of environmental issues” and “natural capital management.” Based on the results of analyzing financial impacts of environmental issues on the company, such as water supply disruptions and stricter hazardous substance regulations, the company can minimize financial risks and strengthen its competitiveness.

To achieve its 2045 carbon neutrality goal, HYUNDAI TRANSYS regularly monitors the implementation of carbon-neutral measures at global sites. The company identifies potential risks from climate change and determines key sites to manage by analyzing factors such as the frequency of natural disasters by production base, economic value exposure, and the rate of change in the future.

Meanwhile, the ESG Data section includes detailed quantitative data on the ESG performance of HYUNDAI TRANSYS’s domestic and overseas sites and subsidiaries over the past three years.

For this report, HYUNDAI TRANSYS followed global guidelines, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) disclosure standards, ISO 26000 for social responsibility, and ESRS.

CEO Baek Cheol-seung stated, “Even amid the spread of internal and external uncertainties, HYUNDAI TRANSYS will create future value and establish a foundation for growth through unwavering sustainability management,” adding, “We will embed a culture of practicing sustainability rather than merely declaring it to secure fundamental competitiveness.”

Meanwhile, HYUNDAI TRANSYS has been internationally recognized for its efforts in sustainability management, such as building a sustainable supply chain by strengthening partner capabilities and enhancing human rights management at its global sites. As a result, the company earned a Gold rating from EcoVadis, a global sustainability assessment agency, for the second consecutive year in February.
