Launch of HYUNDAI TRANSYS' manufacturing subsidiary, "TRANIX"

- TRANIX, a global powertrain manufacturing company, will officially launch on April 10.
- Realizing the value of win-win through the incorporation of internal business partners into a manufacturing subsidiary

On April 10, HYUNDAI TRANSYS, a frontrunner in the development of future mobility, will introduce TRANIX, a subsidiary that specializes in producing powertrains.

TRANIX's three goals of enhancing production competitiveness, guaranteeing world-level quality, and growing its global clientele are intended to position it as a "global powertrain production company with a competitive advantage."

TRANIX is the compound word of "transform" and "mechanics," meaning that it pioneers the advancement and innovation in the powertrain sector through its own technology.

To proactively adapt to the constantly shifting mobility paradigm, HYUNDAI TRANSYS and TRANIX have built separate management systems and a flexible business environment that enable quick decisions.

HYUNDAI TRANSYS will recognize the value of mutual growth through symbiosis and enhance the welfare and conditions of the newly launched TRANIX employees by integrating an internal business partner responsible for the machining and assembly processes of automatic transmissions and Dual Clutch Transmissions (DCT) into a production-focused subsidiary.

At the temporary board of directors meeting on February 27, 2023, HYUNDAI TRANSYS resolved the agenda of forming a new corporation and investing KRW 10 billion in cash. As a result, HYUNDAI TRANSYS will possess all of TRANIX's shares. At a brief meeting with the labor union and its internal business partners, HYUNDAI TRANSYS confirmed the launch of a manufacturing subsidiary.

With the goal of increasing sales through better production efficiency and quality control, securing and developing production-related talent, and fulfilling its social responsibility, TRANIX will make its official debut on April 10.
