The seats of HYUNDAI TRANSYS are recognized for their top-notch quality overseas as well as in Korea.
In the “2023 US Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study” released by the US market research firm J.D. Power in August 2023, HYUNDAI TRANSYS seats were in the “Top 3” for mass market car and SUV seat segments. By segment, it is the #2 seat in Small/Compact Cars (Kia Rio) and tied for #2 in Midsize/Large SUVs (Kia Sorento).
The 2023 Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study involves assessing satisfaction among individuals who have owned 2023 model-year vehicles for more than 90 days in the United States by calculating the number of complaints per 100 vehicles. Lower scores indicate fewer complaints, reflecting higher quality satisfaction. The survey was conducted from February to May 2023, targeting a total of 93,380 participants.
Since its merger and integrated launch in 2019, HYUNDAI TRANSYS has consistently secured a spot in the Top 3 for Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study from 2020 to 2023, making it the only Korean company to maintain its position each year.
In 2020, HYUNDAI TRANSYS secured the #2 position for seats in the Compact Car segment with Hyundai Accent and the #3 position with Kia Forte. In 2021, it ranked #3 in the Luxury Car segment with the seats of Genesis G90. In 2022, it ranked #2 in the Compact Car segment with Kia Forte, #2 in the Compact SUV segment with Kia Soul, and #3 in the Midsize/Large SUV segment with Kia Sorento.
Seo Seung-woo, the Head of HYUNDAI TRANSYS’ Seat Division, said, “Our efforts to develop seats with innovative technologies prioritizing passenger safety and comfort are being recognized by North American customers. We will strive to produce seats that satisfy global customers, going beyond domestic boundaries.”
Meanwhile, HYUNDAI TRANSYS is operating 33 global business sites in 11 countries to rapidly respond to the demands of global automakers and strive for continuous revenue growth.
